Tarun Tejpal: High Court Refuses To Restrain Trial Court From Framing Charges

The Goa bench of Bombay High Court has declined to restrain the trial court from proceeding with framing of charges against journalist Tarun Tejpal who is accused of sexually assaulting a woman colleague at Hotel Grand Hyatt on the night of November 7, 2013. The court has deferred examination of the first witness to a date after November 1.

McDonald’s Plea In Delhi High Court For Enforcement Of Arbitration Award

The Delhi High Court has sought the response of Vikram Bakshi, estranged partner of McDonald India on the company’s plea seeking enforcement of an arbitral award to transfer shares in their joint venture to it. The next date of hearing is fixed for December 7.

Malegaon Blast Case: High Court Grants Bail To Accused
The Hindu, September 27, 2017

The Bombay High Court has granted bail to a retired Army Major, an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, on grounds of parity. Since the other prime accused in the case have been granted bail by the High Court and Supreme Court, the Court granted Major Upadhyay bail against a personal bond of Rs. 1 lakh and two sureties each of the same amount.
